Pressing buttons to move in VR isn't comfortable because your eyes say you're moving but your inner ear says you're not. This discrepancy leads to motion sickness, and we simply can't have that.

My solution? A portal window that leads to another dimension. Users can grab the window frame and pull it down over their heads to transition to a new environment.

Lesson learned: You don't need artificial locomotion or loading screens to change scenes in VR.
